Ice Cream in Northern Virginia

As summer approaches, my daughter and I love to go out for ice cream in the evening after dinner.  We have a few shops around Northern Virginia we really enjoy.  Let us know if there are others we should try.

Petersons (Clifton).  We love going to Petersons.  They have incredible ice cream and a nice outside atmosphere right in the heart of the town of Clifton.  If you like coffee, order the Cafe' Marcus.  When my daughter and I voted on the one best ice cream flavor in NoVA, Cafe' Marcus won 2-0.  https://www.petersonsdepot.net/

Jake's (Falls Church).  Jake's is a smaller shop.  They are located in the Barcroft Plaza off of Columbia Pike.  They make very good ice cream.  I recommend the Cheesecake with Almonds and Fudge Swirl, but you'll have a lot of flavors to choose from here. https://www.sweetjakesicecream.com/

Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream (Multiple including DC, Alexandria, Arlington, McLean).  This is a small chain with tasty ice cream and a great story behind them.  Check out their Brambleberry Crisp and their Salted Peanut Butter with Chocolate Flecks.  https://jenis.com/
